  • What are the prerequisites to entry into the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program:
    • Applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited three-year Internal Medicine Residency program as well as a three-year ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program.
  • Does the Program accept J-1 and H-1 visa holders?
    • The Program does accept J-1 visa holders.
    • On a very limited basis, the Program may be able to extend an offer to an H-1 visa holder.
  • What is the Program’s current ACGME accreditation status?
    • The Program is fully accredited by the ACGME with no citations. In fact, the Program has consistently received commendations from the ACGME for its continued compliance with ACGME program and institutional requirements.
  • Does the Program offer a formal mentorship program?
    • Fellows are assigned a mentor at the beginning of their fellowship training.  Mentors and mentees meet regularly to: review the fellows’ trajectory towards independent practice; guide the fellows’ in their career path; and to discuss other matters the fellows may wish to share.
  • What percentage of fellows sit for the ABIM Certifying Exam in Interventional Cardiology and what is the rolling pass rate?
    • 100% of our graduates sit for the ABIM Certifying Exam in Cardiology. Our Program boasts a 100% rolling pass rate over five years.
  • Upon graduation, what were the future plans of some of the Program’s graduates?
    • Over the past five years, our fellows have:
  • Entered private practice in California, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, and, Pennsylvania, to name a few
  • Entered an Advanced Adult Structural Heart Fellowship in New Jersey
  • Joined our Program Leadership as Core Faculty Members
