Preceptors

Maryam Abdrabbo, PharmD, BCPS (abdrabbom@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Maryam Abdrabbo is a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center (SJUMC). Dr. Abdrabbo earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and completed her PGY-1 residency at SJUMC. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and currently provides clinical services to the medical intensive care unit. Dr. Abdrabbo serves as a preceptor to PGY-1 residents on their critical care rotation.

Jennifer Atherton

Jennifer Atherton is the Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. She went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and a PGY2 in Emergency Medicine at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland, FL. Dr. Atherton serves as a preceptor to PGY1 residents on their Emergency Medicine rotation. Her clinical interests include resuscitation, toxicology, and infectious diseases.

Neli Attas, PharmD (attasn@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Neli Attas, PharmD, is the Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist and a preceptor to residents and students at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. She received a BS in science from the University of Toronto, Canada and B.S. and Pharm.D. degrees from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She completed an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.  Her areas of interest include medication safety strategies, pediatric critical care, drug information, pediatric hematology and oncology and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Attas is active in local, regional and national pharmacy organizations.

Daniel Greer, PharmD, BCPP (v_pharm_dg@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Daniel Greer serves as the behavioral health clinical pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and as a clinical assistant professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. Dr. Greer provides clinical services on the inpatient psychiatric unit, acute partial hospitalization program, and outpatient psychiatric clinic. Dr. Greer received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV and a PGY-2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency at the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System in Denver, CO.

Humberto Jimenez, PharmD, BCPS, AAHIVP (v_ruems_hj@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Humberto Jimenez serves as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Infectious Diseases at Comprehensive Care Center at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson, NJ, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ. Dr. Jimenez received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, and completed his residency training at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ. At his practice site, Dr. Jimenez provides patient care, including counseling, drug/medical information and other support services for HIV infected children, adolescents, and adults.  Dr. Jimenez collaborates with infectious disease physicians, nurses, case managers, and others to ensure patients are given quality and comprehensive patient care. In this setting and on campus, Dr. Jimenez provides didactic and hands-on teaching to students and residents. Dr. Jimenez is also a co-founder and President of Waves of Health, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing modern medical care to underserved communities. He is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a Practicing HIV Pharmacist, a certification provided by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

Melody Kwang Mabial

Melody Kwang is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Touro College of Pharmacy in New York, NY. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY, following which she stayed on as Pharmacotherapy Care Specialist. Dr. Kwang serves both as a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program coordinator and a preceptor to PGY-1 pharmacy residents on their administration rotation. Her clinical interests include infectious diseases, and transitions of care.

Cait E. Kulig, PharmD (v_facul_ck@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Kulig is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University and the Clinical Cardiology Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.  Dr. Kulig received her Bachelor of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC. She then went on to pursue a PGY-1 Acute Care Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY-2 Cardiology Residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. Dr. Kulig’s clinical interests include mechanical support and advanced heart failure.

Kayla Natali, PharmD BCACP, CDCES, BCIDP, AAHIVP (natalikayla@sjhmc.org)

Kayla Natali is an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. Dr. Natali received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS University – Boston.  She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency as well as a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.  She currently provides ambulatory care clinical pharmacy services to patients at the DePaul Center.  Her clinical interests include diabetes management, hypertension management, and HIV management. 

Sherin Pathickal PharmD, BCIDP (pathickals@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Sherin Pathickal is the Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She went on to complete a PGY1 at Suburban Hospital-Johns Hopkins Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland and a PGY2 in Infectious Diseases at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Pathickal is board certified in Infectious Diseases, and her practice involves both antimicrobial stewardship and rounding with the Infectious Diseases consult team. Dr. Pathickal currently serves as a preceptor to the PGY1 residents in their Infectious Diseases focused rotation and their longitudinal Antimicrobial Stewardship rotation.

Justina Girgis, PharmD, BCCCP (girgisj@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Justina Girgis is a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph's University Medical Center. Dr. Girgis serves as a preceptor to PGY-1 residents on their critical care rotation. She earned Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Montclair State University, after which she went on to Rutgers University where she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She then completed her PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at Saint Peter’s University Hospital and went on to complete her PGY-2 in critical care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.  Her professional interests include anticoagulation, alcohol withdrawal, and mechanical circulatory support.

Brian Ubhaus PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Brian Ubhaus is the St. Joseph’s Pharmacy Residency Program Coordinator and is the  Clinical Pharmacist/Antimicrobial Steward at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center providing clinical services in various area of practice. He received a Bachelor’s of Science from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University, in Piscataway, NJ. Dr. Ubhaus completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and participates in local and national pharmacy organizations.

Olaa Alfaouri, PharmD BCPS (alfaourio@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Olaa Alfaouri is the Medication Safety and Regulatory Coordinator at St. Joseph's Health. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Englewood Health. Dr. Alfaouri serves as a preceptor to the PGY-1 residents for their Medication Safety rotation. She currently works to improve medication safety practices throughout the health system. Her clinical interests include medication safety and anticoagulation.
