St. Joseph’s Health proudly focuses on training future medical leaders, who will pursue a lifetime of study so they will remain the best possible practitioners of medicine.

We aim to supply an educational environment that prepares our students and advanced trainees to provide exceptional quality care, which sustains and improves both individual and community health with a special concern for those who are poor, vulnerable and underserved. Our unwavering commitment to serve those in need was set forth by our founders, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, and we plan to continue this for another 150 years and beyond.

We strive for our physicians to remain geographically present upon completion of training and to make contributions to the understanding, prevention and treatment of disease and injury specifically to the community we serve.
