St. Joseph's Obstetric and Gynecologist practitioners are outstanding examples of compassionate, quality providers of women's services.
There are many reasons why patients choose St. Joseph's, especially for the availability of genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine services, and the Centers for High Risk Pregnancy. Board-certified perinatologists are available for the latest in ultrasonography, including nuchal translucency testing. Designated as one of the first regional perinatal centers in the state, St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's OB/GYN department provides the most advanced leading edge services available.
Pregnancy presents new challenges and the Department of Childbirth Education is ready to help. Ongoing classes in prenatal care, breast-feeding, and parenting are available before delivery and during your hospital stay. A certified lactation specialist also provides ongoing support to new mothers.
Teen moms may want to take advantage of the Teen Program of our Midwifery services. This program is tailored to the needs of the young pregnant adolescent. The WIC program is located at 185 6th Avenue, 2nd floor, Paterson NJ 07524 and provides nutritional support for those in need.
After your baby is born you can be assured that all the advanced techniques that your newborn may need are available. The oldest operated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the State of New Jersey is located at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. We are staffed by a team of Board-certified neonatologists who provide excellent care for the most premature of infant or infants, in the case of multiples. If you are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, we will meet with you before delivery and discuss the care of your infant(s).
Women in need of gynecological care can choose from our many qualified community physicians. A specialty clinic in the hospital provides care for a woman experiencing incontinence. This service provides highly personalized care for each of our patients.
Additionally, we are proud of our affiliation with the Mount Sinai Medical Center, as we provide a four-year residency program for obstetrics and a fellowship in urogynecological care.
