Channel My 9 News reports on a new procedure of obtaining restraining orders for patients at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. A pilot project links domestic abuse victims to a judge at the Passaic County courthouse via a teleconferencing system and is the first of its kind in New Jersey. Dr. James Pruden heads the pilot project and notes how the judge can establish the restraining order within minutes sparing the victim time and fear of having to go to court the next day.
