The Pulmonology Division of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital offers consultation, diagnostic testing and treatment for infants and children with pulmonary diseases including:

• Asthma 
• Bronchopulmonary dysplasia
• Congenital lung abnormalities
• Neuromuscular respiratory disease
• Chronic respiratory failure
• Recurrent pneumonia
• Persistent cough
• Environmental allergies

The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital provides care for childhood musculoskeletal arthritis and autoimmune disorders and their underlying causes.

Pediatric and adolescent patients with various types of arthritis and musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and Lyme Disease are evaluated and treated.

As part of the commitment to treat the whole child, we provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary team approach that involves close collaboration with the departments of dermatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology, orthopedics, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, immunology, nutrition services, and social services.

The Surgical Division of St. Joseph's Children's Hospital has developed an unsurpassed reputation and is a major referral center for pediatric surgery in northern New Jersey.

We routinely perform surgery on high-risk premature babies with acquired diseases or congenital malformations.

Most common surgeries performed are:

• Appendectomy
• Hernia repair
• Complex abdominal surgery
• Thoracic surgery including correction of Pectus Excavation
• Pyloric Stenosis

The NICU and PICU provide expert post-operative care to all children.
