St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is a leader in comprehensive health care for children. Recognized for our high standard of quality responsive and compassionate pediatric care, St. Joseph’s is a state designated children’s hospital offering a broad spectrum of services for patients from birth to 21 years of age and their families.
The Alfiero and Lucia Palestroni Birth Defects Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is a division of St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. The Center provides consultation and treatment services for children with structural birth defects and complex medical conditions. We create a medical home for patients and their families by providing unified care from a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
The Autism Center, as part of the Child Development Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, employs an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders. Our evaluation team is comprised of multiple pediatric subspecialties including developmental pediatrics, neurology, genetics, rehabilitation medicine (physical, occupational, speech and language therapists), feeding and swallowing, child and adolescent psychology and psychiatry.
Dedicated Child Life Specialists are available to relieve the stress of hospitalizations, ambulatory procedures and medication treatments.
The Child Protection and Safety Center of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital offers a comprehensive program for the evaluation and treatment of injuries suspected to have been caused by child abuse. The Center coordinates the gathering of information and facilitates communication among agencies involved in the cases. The Center also educates professionals and the community on child abuse, neglect, and safety issues.
