The Alumnae Association of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing was founded in the early 1940's and remains active today. The School of Nursing was opened in 1897 and closed in 1972, graduating a total of approximately 3,000 nurses. Membership in the Alumnae Association is open to any graduate of the school.
The Association meets four times a year – September, December, March, and May. The meetings are mainly social, with two of the meetings being luncheons and two dinners. At the May meeting, the 50 year graduates are honored.
Dues for membership are $15 a year. At the present time, we have over 800 names and addresses on file.
