St. Joseph’s Health Welcomes Ridley Barron

A story of hope, healing and forgiveness inspires staff

UntitledSt. Joseph’s Health welcomed Ridley Barron – author, internationally known speaker and tireless advocate for patient safety – to discuss hope, healing and forgiveness. During his presentations at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center (SJUMC) and St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center (SJWMC), Barron’s story of personal tragedy provided the backdrop for a powerful message on quality of care, excellence in health care, full disclosure and the second victim. St. Joseph’s Health (SJH)  staff, nationally recognized for superior quality management, drew a unique patient perspective that encouraged them to continue perfecting their current high standard of care. Barron’s presentation was an educational and inspiring way to kick off Patient Safety Awareness Week.
