Healey Family Waiting Room Named In Honor of Long-time Trustee

St. Joseph’s Health (SJH) proudly dedicated the “Healey Family Waiting Room” in honor of long-time Trustee James E. Healey, his wife Sandra and the Healey family. Members of the Healey family, St. Joseph’s Health Board, St. Joseph’s University Medical Center Board, Medical Staff leadership and Executive Management, joined together to celebrate the dedication. Plaques were also unveiled in memory of Mr. Healey’s parents, James and Katherine Healey, and Sandra Healey’s parents, Thomas and Peggy Horan. Mr. Healey served on the System Board of Trustees from 2000-2014 and was a lead $500,000 donor to the St. Joseph’s is the Future capital campaign and member of the campaign steering committee. We are proud to recognize the Healey’s extraordinary generosity by naming the newly-renovated outpatient testing area in tribute to the Healey’s long and close relationship with St. Joseph’s.

During his remarks, Mr. Healey took a moment to recognize his “St. Joseph’s heroes:” Sr. Jacqueline Burns, SC, former Chairperson of the System Board of Trustees; Dr. Thomas Potter (dec.), founder, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital; William A. McDonald, immediate past President and CEO, SJH; and Robert L. Marcalus (dec.), Chairman of the St. Joseph’s is the Future Campaign Steering Committee and philanthropist, each of whom provided inspirational leadership.
