The newly renovated and expanded Sleep Center at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital combines the latest technology in a warm, hotel-like atmosphere. The Center recently received full accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Prior to your visit to our Sleep Center, you’ll meet with your physician who will take a medical history and perform a physical exam. This will help determine whether you could benefit from a nighttime sleep study.
If a nighttime sleep study is requested, you’ll find that our bedroom suites are comfortable and private; much more like a guest room than a hospital room. Before your study begins, you can relax in our newly appointed waiting area. At the Sleep Center at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital all the amenities in our patient-oriented environment are designed to reduce the stress so often associated with medical tests.
The Sleep Center at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital is dedicated solely to the study and cure of sleep disorders. Sleep Specialist Dr. Nidal Matalkah serves as Medical Director for our Sleep Center. Additionally, we are one of the few sleep centers in Northern New Jersey with a team of Board-certified Pediatric Sleep Specialists on staff.
