Internal Medicine

The Department of Medicine has a long-standing commitment to excellence in post-graduate medical education.  Our highly qualified teaching staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and friendly environment have helped produce physicians of the finest caliber.  In addition to acquiring basic clinical competencies, residents are also exposed to distinct individual career objectives.  The Mount Sinai School of Medicine sponsors the Internal Medicine residency training program at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

Night Float

A system is available 5 nights a week to relieve overnight on-call residents from admitting duties.  In July 2010, we will expand our night float team to include full resident coverage for admitting and cross coverage responsibilities.
