The Department of Medicine consists of 11 divisions including Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology, Pulmonary, and Rheumatology. As a whole, the department strives to deliver high quality medical care to the regional community.
Quality improvement is the driving force for the delivery of medial care. As a multidisciplinary group, the physicians, nurses, and other health care personnel participate on numerous quality-driven initiatives on International, National and local levels. These programs include, but are not limited to, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement 100,000 Lives and 5 Million Lives from Harm Campaigns, the Surviving Sepsis Campaign, the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, CMS Core Measures and the NJ Hospital Association ICU Collaborative.
Our commitment to Graduate Medical Education is reflected in our ACGME approved Medical Residency Program and fellowships in Gastroenterology, Oncology, Pulmonary, Cardiology and Nephrology. The residency and fellowship program assure maintenance of up-to-date medical knowledge and provision of care.
