  • Review current medical literature and unresolved issues with the management of severe traumatic brain injury.
  • Describe the history of aeromedical evacuation and it’s evolution.
  • Discuss the role of EMS and Emergency Department in building Acute Care Surgery.
  • Review how to safely and effectively treat and control the patient with excited delirium.
  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke.
  • Discuss communication between Emergency Department and EMS in the pre-hospital setting.
  • Identify failures in communication between healthcare personnel.
