SJRMC Opens State-of-the-Art Critical Care Building

SJHS Critical Care Building Exterior St. Joseph's Healthcare System's four-story state-of-the-art Critical Care Building (CCB) located on the campus of St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ is now open. The CCB officially opened to the public in mid-October 2011 with the Critical Care Units being the first to move into the new building followed by operational transitioning of patients into the remaining units shortly after. The opening of the CCB, the cornerstone of the Healthcare System's $250 million master facilities project, brings added value to northern New Jersey and the surrounding region.

St. Joseph's Receives New Recognition for Stroke Center

PATERSON, NJ [January 26, 2012] – St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus achievement award and named to the association’s Target: Stroke Honor Roll.  These awards recognize St. Joseph's multidisciplinary team effort (medicine-neurology, emergency care, nursing, radiology, rehabilitative services, swallowing center, laboratory, pharmacy & other support services), strong commitment to top quality care, and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.
