Failure is a universal reality, an inescapable fact of living that everyone experiences. Providing youngsters with the emotional strength to cope with failure, the resilience to bounce back from poor performance on an exam or in sports will enable them to learn from the experience, develop confidence and gain persistence.
Dr. Holahan will offer strategies for redefining failure as an opportunity for learning and provide practical guidelines on how teachers and parents can encourage children to explore, take risks and make mistakes.
This program will be held at William Paterson University, 1600 Valley Road, Wayne.
Pre-registration is required. Register by phone or on-line at www.wpunj.edu/cpe.
