Guest Speakers: Margie Latrella, RN, MSN and Carolyn Strimike, RN, MSN, Advanced Practice Nurses, The Women’s Heart Center at St. Joseph’s
Every minute of every day, a woman dies of heart disease. How women develop heart disease, the presentation of their symptoms and type of disease are different from men.
Using case studies of women evaluated in The Women’s Heart Center, the instructors will demonstrate that a woman’s heart is not like a man’s heart. They will describe how heart disease in women is evaluated, explain how women may experience unusual heart attack symptoms and offer guidelines to assure that women receive appropriate testing and treatment.
This seminar will be held at Wayne Hills High School, 272 Berdan Avenue, Wayne. The registration fee is $ 15.
