Paterson, NJ [August 11, 2011] - All three St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) affiliated Dialysis Units – the St. Joseph's Satellite Dialysis Center at 11 Getty Avenue, Paterson, the SJRMC hospital-based unit, and the Willowbrook Dialysis Unit – have received "5 Diamond Patient Safety Status" from Quality Insights Renal Network Three (QIRN3).
This top tier distinction places St. Joseph's Dialysis Units as three of only six programs currently to receive "5 Diamond Status." QIRN3, a member of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services End Stage Renal Disease Network, works with more than 170 dialysis facilities to improve both patient and staff awareness by promoting patient safety values and building a culture of patient safety.
