SJHS Receives National Healthcare Marketing Award

PATERSON, NJ [July 27, 2009] - St. Joseph's Healthcare System (SJHS) in Paterson, New Jersey received a 2009 Aster Award for Excellence in the category of "Special Video Production". SJHS won the Bronze Award for their 2008 'St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center Charity Ball Video, Introduction Section'.


This award places St. Joseph's in the top 16% of all entries in this category. The video is accessible for viewing on the Featured Stories section of the St. Joseph's Healthcare System website www.StJosephsHealth.org.

The Aster Awards, one of the largest competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc. This elite national program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts. The 2009 Aster Awards consisted of approximately 3,000 entries from across America. Participants' entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their category. Entries must score in the top 85 percent to receive an award.


Entries in the Aster Awards were judged by a diverse panel of healthcare marketing experts. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality, and overall appeal. All winners are posted on the Aster Awards website as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
