PATERSON, NJ (JULY 9, 2009) -The Medical Staff at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) in Paterson, New Jersey, is pleased to name Carmelie Jean-Pierreas the recipient of the 2009 Medical Staff Scholarship.
This prestigious scholarship is offered annually to a graduating high school student who is a child or legal dependent of a SJRMC employee carrying a 3.0 or above GPA and is planning to pursue a medical career. The scholarship is a $2,000 a year award, renewable for up to four years.
Carmelie, who plans to major in Biology and aspires to one day become a Research Biologist, is shown with Walid J. Baddoura, MD, President of the SJRMC Medical Staff. Carmelie is the daughter of Yolette Jean-Pierre, a CNA at St. Vincent's Nursing Home in Cedar Grove, New Jersey.
