With leading-edge technology and care focused on "treating the whole child," St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, located in Paterson, NJ, is the only all-pediatric emergency room in Passaic County.
Practicing family-centered care, the Pediatric Emergency Room at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by specialists who are dually-trained in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Our registered nurses and other staff members have specialized pediatric training and experience to recognize and treat conditions unique to children.
Our 14-bed Pediatric Emergency Room sees over 30,000 patients each year, providing children with specialized care in a warm, friendly environment. With a separate entrance and waiting room, a dedicated registration and triage area, along with a comforting and embracing child-friendly setting, we strive to make children and families feel safe and to help them understand and cope with the challenges of illness.
Additionally, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital collaborates with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in research studies of a variety of diseases; utilizes High Definition Telemedicine technology to discuss difficult and rare pediatric cases with experts in other facilities, and partners with Medical Missions for Children to strive to improve pediatric outcomes worldwide.
We hope your child always dares, but if the time comes when they need repair, we are here and we are right around the corner.
