PATERSON, NJ (JANUARY 16, 2013) – Ken Maietta, owner of Tons of Toys stores (located in Wyckoff, Chatham and Madison, NJ), was recognized as a 'Champion for Children' by the St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center Foundation (SJRMC-F). Throughout the month of October, the discount toy stores which provide children with unique specialty toys as well as popular brand name items, ran a promotion to sell pumpkins to customers wishing to donate to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Covered in signed pumpkins, the Tons of Toys stores raised $1,000 collectively by the end of the month. For the generosity and enthusiasm of the fundraiser, Maietta was recognized and presented with a 'Champion for Children' certificate by Michael Lamacchia, MD, (right) Chairman, Pediatrics, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital (SJCH); Timothy Barr, Vice President, Development, St. Joseph's Healthcare System (SJHS), and Executive Director, SJRMC-F; Kristin Gerasimow, Child Life Specialist, SJCH, and Eric Gross, Associate In-House Counsel, SJHS.
