St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital Annual Charity Ball Recognized Kathe Crimmins with John A. Pasquale III Community Award

SJWH Honors KatheCrimminsWAYNE, NJ [NOVEMBER 19, 2012] – St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital (SJWH), a division of St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Wayne, New Jersey, is pleased to announce Kathe Crimmins (resident of Wayne) as the 2012 John A. Pasquale III Community Award recipient. This prestigious award was presented to Ms. Crimmins at the St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital Foundation's Annual Charity Ball on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at The Rockleigh. A devoted volunteer and life-long resident of North Jersey, Ms. Crimmins was recognized for her contribution to the community, overall, as well as her dedication to St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital.


"Congratulations to Kathe Crimmins," said Daniel Kline, Vice President, St. Joseph's Healthcare System and Site Administrator, St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. "An exemplary community advocate, Kathe is a well-deserving recipient of the 2012 John A. Pasquale III Community Service Award," he added.


Ms. Crimmins has led her life by example volunteering for both Boy and Girl Scouts organizations, serving as a school board member for Our Lady of the Valley Church, co-developing children's liturgies and confirmation programs, and even sheltering a Vietnamese refugee family through her church while serving as a dutiful parishioner.


Beginning her journey with Wayne General in the mid-nineties, Ms. Crimmins began as a volunteer in the Foundation Office and quickly transitioned to serve on the St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital Board with John Pasquale III and continued her tenure on the Foundation Board to serve as Treasurer. Ms. Crimmins was active on the Foundation Board's Nominating, Finance and Executive Committees.


Ms. Crimmins, a longtime resident of Wayne, served as the President of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce offering her expertise in economic development, business-to-business networking, event planning, marketing, and governmental advocacy. Under her leadership her work provided opportunities to assist senior citizens and students as well as offering guidance and job shadowing programs to women reentering the work force. Ms. Crimmins also cemented ties between the Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph's Wayne through many educational event partnerships.


An adamant volunteer and prominent community figure, Ms. Crimmins also participated in the Wayne Rotary and has served on numerous commissions and boards including the Wayne Township Emergency Management Task Force, the Passaic County Technical Institute's Academy of Finance Advisory Board, the William Paterson University Orchestra Advisory Board and the William Paterson University College of Business Stakeholders Committee.


Ms. Crimmins demonstrates an exemplary lifestyle of devotion to her community as well as passion to her volunteerism and even devoted several years to volunteering as a domestic violence counselor. A well-rounded citizen who is always willing to lend her full support, Ms. Crimmins is more than deserving of recognition for her service to St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital and surrounding communities.
