Established in 2009, the Emergency Medicine Scribe Program is designed to assist the physicians in our department in handling the large number of non-direct patient care requirements they face every day. The ED Clinical Scribes, college students from some of the top colleges and universities in the area, free up valuable time for the physicians they are assigned. This enables the physicians to focus on their primary goal: providing high quality care to the acute ill and injured.

Trauma Center
As a state designated Trauma Center, St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department provides care to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Training closely with EMTs and Paramedics, St. Joseph's is able to incorporate life-saving procedures into the field, creating a seamless transfer of care when a patient enters the doors of SJRMC's Trauma Center.
