O’Neill Center

St. Joseph’s is contracted with the Division of Children and Family Services to provide therapeutic supervised visitation. The O’Neill Center will provide therapeutically supervised visitation for special needs children conducted by an Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) supervised by an LCSW. The social workers will conduct therapeutic supervised visitations five days a week. The case manager will assist the social worker during visitation, as well as observe and intervene as appropriate with each family. Monthly reports are sent via NJ Spirit. Reports will contain observations in narrative format with recommendations. Pending schedule availability, transportation to and from the center (via the center vans) will be accessible and provided for any child living in the cities of Passaic, Paterson and Clifton. Arrangements for those outside of these areas are on a case-by-case decision.

On a case-by-case basis, some in-home therapeutically supervised visits will take place.

Consultations will be limited to the Bergen/Passaic area. Services provided by the O’Neill Center are by the Division of Children and Family Services and are by referral only.
